L’oreal Paris Glam Shine Balmy Gloss Passion Fruit Perfect 910 Review and Swatches (Lip Crayon)
By Contributor: Saraswathi Sneha
Totally glad that I finally found some spare time to review my favorite lip crayon without which I feel absolutely incomplete these days. While my obsession with MAC products faded a little (totally due to financial constraints), my interest sped to explore the latest new launches from other beauty brands. When people used to ask me, if you are a lipstick girl or a lip gloss girl I would think for a moment and realize that I am neither of these. Probably I just take an occasional peek at them since my everyday routine is focused only towards a pigmented lip balm. When I came across these bal my glosses from L’oreal, trust me I just felt like changing my answer to a Lip Gloss girl for the crayon’s looks tempted me the most.
Never did I dream that one of these Loreal Glam Shine Balmy Glosses would constitute a major role in my daily make-up routine. Under the Loreal Glam Shine Balmy Glosses category these are some of the shades which have been released; 911 -Lychee Lust, 912 – Peach Pleasure, 909 – Pomegranate Punch and 910 – Passion Fruit Perfect.
When you dig VNA’s archives a bit, you would have come across the review of 909 – Pomegranate Punch by Agnirupa Acharyya. If you haven’t yet, do take a look at it for yet another convincing shade from Loreal.
I have always had an affinity for orange shades when I came across Lakme Poptint Candy Kiss shade. This obsession began when I came across a picture of Kareena Kapoor with an orange tint on her upper lip. But again I didn’t want a striking orange like hers but a minimal tint of the color. Since then I have been looking for a perfect shade in orange later which I agreed to pick up the shade 910 – Passion Fruit Perfect. I was quite worried if it would be too orangey but thankfully it is not.
Packaging: The crayon kind of composition tempted me so much that I almost wanted to eat it (Yet I didn’t!). The outer body enclosure is closely associated with the color of the product and a metal cap completes it. The crayon is of 3 inches and the quantity weighs about 2.5 gms. You can dispense more of the product by twisting its base.
Texture: Passion Fruit Perfect does not sport a dark pigmentation of orange tint but a minimal one and that’s why I am in love with it. There is no intense flavor or smell that annoys you when you wear it. It is so light that it stays and settles comfortably on your lips as if you aren’t wearing anything. It does contain shimmer particles and this gold glitter adds vibrancy to your lips; however it doesn’t over-do anything except a fabulous lift in your looks.
Staying Power: Now I couldn’t boast much here as the staying power is quite disappointing. Initially I require at least 3-4 coats to bring out the color tint post which if I don’t eat or drink anything for 2 hours I am pretty sure that it is going to stay. But in between if I tend to hog on food, they are transferable. I am talking only about the color; nevertheless the shimmer stays for some more time even if the color disappears. However I wish the staying power of the color had been quite a turn-on; unfortunately it isn’t.
Price: L’oreal Glam Shine Balmy Glosses are priced at Rs 400 which I find is pretty reasonable for a product with a quantity that is of 2.5 gms. Even if you are planning to use it daily, it is still going to last for 5-6 months.

Do I recommend? Loreal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss – 910-Passion Fruit Perfect is great. The color is so soft with a minimal tint of orange pigmentation. The glossy finish is so smooth and light that you almost forget that you are wearing something on your lips. The shimmer creates an illusion of huge pout making your lips more attractive. It is reasonably priced and the product quantity lasts long even if it falls in your daily routine. Although it requires frequent touch-ups, the finish that it gives you once you wear it is impeccable.
