Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Color Pop Lipstick OR215

By Contributor: Lakshmipriya

Today I’m going to review and swatch a very pretty lipstick from the South Korean brand Etude House – yes! It is Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Color Pop in shade OR215. There are two versions of these Blooming Lips lipsticks – the regular shades and the color pop ones. I was eyeing the regular ones but fortunately got this at a lower price so picked it up. They have a huge collection of shades to choose from. These lipsticks were love at first sight and I was planning from so long to get atleast one of them. It comes with a super sturdy white bullet packaging with an orange bow ring in between. Though the ring is super cute it is very big even for my thumb! Second thing which attracted me is the super cute engraving of heart and crown doodle on the lipstick.

Etude House OR215 is a milky peach orange shade. This shade isn’t meant for Indian skin tones. Firstly its too light to cover my lip pigmentation. It is a very pale orange color and with one swipe it gives you super cute nude lips. When you go one with one more coat, it looks even paler and makes you look washed out and sick. Yes! This particular shade doesn’t flatter Indian skin tones. It would look super flattery on lighter skin tones like Korean, Japanese, American, etc.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Color Pop Lipstick Review

This is a super creamy lipstick and because of that it settles in the fine lines of your lips. But I don’t think this would be a problem with darker shades – I mean they won’t look explicit. And coming to the staying power, it stays on your lips for a good time of 3-4hours leaving a flush of color on my lips and you will need to re-apply if you need creamy lips. Since its super creamy so it glides on super smoothly on my lips.

Packaging: This is what impressed me so much and made me buy the lipstick. It has a cute and sturdy packaging with a beautiful bow ring in between the lipstick and the cap. The bullet is quiet sturdy and it doesn’t break easily. It doesn’t melt even in Chennai’s hot weather!

Why I Love Etude House Blooming Lips Lipstick?

  • Super cute packaging, the bow ring and heart doodle.
  • Its super creamy and glides on smoothly
  • Wonderful coverage goes and goes opaque in just 2-3 swipes
  • Leaves a nice flush of color when it starts fading
  • Nude lip lovers – this is a great choice

Why I Hate the Color Pop Lipstick Lipstick?

  • Weak staying power due to creaminess – stays only for 3 to 4 hours and must be re-applied after that
  • This particular shade is too pale and makes you look sick
  • Shade is not as deep as described

PriceNot sure about the actual price but it is sold at 10.99$ on Ebay. I got it for 7$ and so it was a steal!

Will I recommend? Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk Color Pop Lipstick OR215 is a super cute lipstick. It is a must try..but not this shade. I would repurchase other shades from this – I’m eyeing on shades PK004 and RD303.
