Highlighters are an integral part of eye makeup yet the one that is overlooked the most. Highlighting your brow bone is extremely important which makes the look complete. I’ve always yearned to Mac Ricepaper eyeshadow as it’s a much raved about highlighter but I didn’t want to invest so much on a single eyeshadow. So when I heard Inglot P393 is said to be a close dupe of it I instantly placed my order with Majorbrands and bought it online. Let’s start with the review and swatches.
Shade: Inglot Pearl 393 looks like a pale peachy shade in the pan however it is more of a pale gold shade with a pearlescent finish once you swatch it. It has a strong ivory sheen making it perfect for highlighting yet it is warm enough not to clash with Indian skin tones.
I’ve been using this in every look ever since I got it and I can easily say my search for the perfect highlighter ends with this. Judging from the online swatches it certainly seems to be a VERY close dupe of MAC Ricepaper. Besides my brow bone I love using this in the inner corner to open up my eyes and make them look fresh & bright. You can also use this for highlighting your cheeks, nose bridge and cupid bow so it is one versatile product!
Texture: Ingot Pearl finishes are the best in terms of texture and pigmentation. It has an extremely soft and satiny texture that blends like a dream. Even though it is slightly shimmery I haven’t faced any fallout with it.
Pigmentation & Staying power: The eyeshadow is highly pigmented and it easily shows up on me. This is one shade that does not require a base or a primer to get the true color.
It is long lasting making it perfect for party wear. It stays put for 6+ hours without creasing that too without a primer which is pretty commendable!
Packaging: Inglot refills come in square and round pans. I always prefer buying the square ones as they contain more product than the round ones. Storage of these refills is an issue making them not so travel friendly unless you own a magnetic palette.
