Mac Twig Lipstick Review Swatches

Mac  Twig lipstick Review and Swatches

By Contributor: Ramitha

My first post on VNA and I couldn’t have picked a better product. Basically my first Mac lipstick which made me realise that there are colours other than brown. Eh I was a brown color freak for almost 2 years and now I don’t even own one. As a Mac fan I wanted a lipstick that I would just fall in love with and I did fall in love with it.. I saw the colour and I knew i wanted it. Enough blabbering from my side lets go on with the review.

Mac Twig lies somewhere between a brown and a pink lipstick with warm tones. On my lips it does appear more brownish pink or say a neutral MLBB kind of shade that doesn’t wash me out. I loved it when I first swatched it on my hands but looks different on my lips. It tends to look different in different lighting. This shade will suit almost all Indian skin tones.

It has got satin finish lipstick and feels creamy and smooth while applying but looks matte on lips. People with dry lips should really moisturise beforehand. It is highly pigmented. One swipe gives the true colour to your lips. I have pigmented lips and with the ease this color hides my pigmented lips…..you know why I like it so much. Stays on my lips for 3-4 hours.

Mac Twig comes in the classic packaging of mac i.e., black shiny case. This colour is from the permanent range so you don’t need to worry whether it’ll go out of stock.

Love-why?

  • A shade which can be carried by a lot of Indian women.
  • Creamy and soft in texture.
  • Highly pigmented. One swipe covers the lip pigmentation.
  • Stays on my lips for 3-4 hours.
  • Signature vanilla fragrance.

Hate-why?

  • Available only in the metropolitan cities in India. I can’t find a Mac store near my place!
  • It may settle into lip lines.
  • Requires well moisturised lips. A no no for dry lips.

Price: Rs.990

VNA Rating: 4.5/5

Why should you buy? Mac Twig lipstick is for you if you like MLBB neutral colours like pinky brown that are safe for office wear. Its soft and creamy and looks totally natural.
