 MAC Deelight Cremesheen Glass

By Contributor: Agnirupa Acharyya

Soooo here is the gloss girl back again with a very wearable, very neutral yet very chic and non-sticky MAC lipglass. Err..puzzled?? thinking you have read wrong? Non-sticky gloss and MAC?! Let me solve the glossy mystery. This is the cremesheen glass range of MAC – the milky, creamy, saucy range which is a class apart from their usual lipglass or Lustreglass in that these are non-sticky..whoopiee!

The one I have and will review and swatch today is called Deelight which came in a kit together with other Cremesheen stuff and I was heartbroken that it must be a Limited Edition but no it is very much a part of the permanent range!! What is the big deal you ask? You all will realize as you see the pics.

MAC claims: A lip finish that fuses the creamy, sheen-filled nature of Cremesheen Lipstick with the shine of MAC Lipglass. Soft, comfortable, non-sticky. Applies with a doe-foot applicator. Use as a top layer to its namesake Lipstick or on its own.

Deelight is described as a mid-tone milky plum. The color made me swoon the first time I saw it and gave a mini attack when I had though it to be LE! So you can realize the sheer hotness of the color which sits and looks right on top of any lipstick, on bare lips, in office, at dates or yes even at home in torn clothes while writing a review (yes I am describing myself!  ). It is a lovely muted plumy pink which will be the perfect everyday MLBB gloss for most Indian girls with the exact amount of glaze and no shimmer/glitter!

The cremesheen range of glosses come in a usual cylindrical MAC lipglass tube with a black cap and transparent body, though these are much bigger in size with increased qu antity. Ahem..and price too! This one I have here though has a safed topi in virtue of the kit it came with. A perfect doe-foot spongy applicator comes inside it which picks up the right amount of product.

The texture is thick (not gloopy), milky, smooth and spreads easily with the applicator. Yes it does feel a bit heavy on lips but come on! If you want the feel of nothing what about a layer of Vaseline to make you feel that way :P But no..not at all sticky! Its very hydrating, very creamy and keeps your lips supple even after wearing off. The lasting power is great as well and easily keeps me company through 4-5 hours. The smell like most other MAC things is yummy vanilla and its very punishing to resist licking my lips.

The Good things:

  • Travel-friendly, sleek tube packaging with a convenient doe-foot applicator.
  • Creamy, milky formula which hydrates and keeps lips supple.
  • The shade deelight is actually sheer delight for all nude, classy lip lovers out there.
  • Lasting power is very good and easily lasts for 4+ hours!
  • Lovely mouth watering vanilla fragrance.
  • No shimmer/glitter. I know many of you pretties dislike looking like a disco ball!

The Bad things:

  • Priceyyyyyyyyy. Hate you MAC! Well no not really. Still…..grrrrrrrr!

Price: Rs.1500 *ouchhh*

VNA Rating: 5/5 *bingo*

Do I recommend? Oh yes. I would recommend Mac Deelight Cremesheen Glass to all the ladies who have been asking me lately about a perfect nude lipgloss from MAC. I would easily ask them to choose this glass over Lovechild Lipglass simply because not many people would want a heavy thick gloss with shimmer on their lips on a regular basis. This gloss works in all the departments- hydration, soft, creamy, perfect neutral shade, long lasting. Highly recommended the Cremesheen glass range!
