L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Review and Swatches: Pink Passion
This Loreal lipstick has a serious case of dual personality. Sherlock Holmes would have had a hard time figuring out the real identity of this lipstick. Ofcourse he wasn’t a beauty blogger. It looks pastel coral in tube but that is way different than how it looks on my lips. When I first pushed this lipstick in my mom’s hand, she exclaimed “you want me to wear this?!“. I said “Atleast try once, we will cool it a bit with a caramel gloss“. 2 days later I saw her wearing it without the lipgloss. When I asked her how the miracle happened, she just shrugged saying “its not that bad you know”. Haa!
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Pink Passion looks coral in tube but it actually is a creamy pastel pink. Its one of those colours you think you can never carry off but once your eyes get comfortable with it, you start wearing it every day. This is the kind of pink which slowly grown on you. It will suit fair to medium skin tones. I’m nc40 right now and it works on me. But will wash out any one darker than that. The lipstick is very pigmented and one swipe gives you opaque finish.
The texture is very creamy. It stays for some 3-4hrs and leaves behind a light pink tint. But the finish leaves you wanting for me. It tends to settle in lip lines and look streaky. I usually exfoliate my lips before wearing it. So it needs a little warm up before the actual run. I’ve this easy DIY Lip scrub tutorial for you which takes just 2mins.
Let’s check the photos and swatches:
This is exactly how it looks.
I’ve worn it in my dramatic LOTD. But don’t go and check it since it looks coral there which it isn’t. May be its the lighting. I hate nothing more than inexact swatches. You see swatches online which look sooo pretty but when you order it and it comes home, it looks nothing like the pretty colour you wanted. So I’ve done a full face with it where it looks exactly like it does on me. I will post the FOTD tomorrow.

So is it for you?If you want a bright pink lipstick which isn’t fuchsia but has pastel tones to it and is unlike most of the shades in your collection then go ahead and buy Pink Passion. It would look best on fair to medium skin tones. The texture is creamy and stays for around 3 hours but tends to settle in lip lines so you need well exfoliated lips.
If you are wondering, these photos were taken in the Deer Park in Hauz Khas village. I was carrying the lipstick in my bag that day and when sailor got busy on a call, I ended up clicking these pics! Now I want to click all my lipsticks and blushes there!
