I am not a very big fan of nail colors but when I saw these Lakme nail polises on one of my friends I went mad and badly wanted one. I just had to get them….like totally then and there! I searched a lot and then finally found them in some shopping website online. They have become one of my favourites and now I keep repurchasing them. Agree the colours are not that fun but hey they work on my tanned hands and make them look brighter!
Lakme says: Long-lasting, chip resistant nail enamel. Contains resins to strengthen nails and prevent breakage. Has colour lock technology. Gives lacquer-like finish.
The brush and the formula are awesome. Gives a smooth finish post application. Though they dry very soon but if these nail paints come in contact with anything then they tend their shine. I don’t know why this happens. Even though I tried running cold water to dry the nail colours but it did not help.
Lakme True Wear Nail Color – D415 Manish Malhotra
This Lakme colour is a bright red shade which is perfect for Indian weddings. Its such a nice bridal shade. The staying power is roughly 5-6 days which is so great! The only problem with bright colours is that they tend to stain your nail and that’s the case with this one which is why I don’t apply this regularly.
Lakme True Wear Nail Color – 241 Metallics
This is a metallic silver shade with gold or yellow tones. The colour is very different but can make your hands look dull. Will suit fair skin better.
Lakme True Wear Nail Color – 403 Deep Blush Maroon (Classics)
This shade is a deep ruby maroon an absolute favourite. This looks awesome on fair skin. It appears black in photos since I’ve applied 2 coats but its deep maroon actually.
Price: Rs.100 each
VNA Rating: 4.5/5
Conclusion: Lakme True Wear Nail Colors are worth purchasing. They offer nice shades with long staying power. The texture, finish, applicator brush…..everything is excellent.
