I’m not one of those “ouchh……broke my nail!!” girls. But some products tend do bring out that girl in me. Now don’t you absolutely hate those plastic stoppers that come inside some bottles? They are hard. They hurt. They are unstoppable unpierceable. And I totally hate them. One such product that I have is this Forest Essentials cleanser which I’m reviewing today.
Forest Essentials claims: The first rule of Ayurvedic skin care is cleanse, tone and nourish. The secret to proper cleansing is to remove dead cells and toxins, clear clogged pores and clean make-up without stripping the skin’s natural oils and moisture content.
• Tones • Purifies • Adds Glow
Saffron has always been used in traditional formulations for glowing skin , along with Neem for purifying and deep cleansing.
Forest Essentials has revamped its packaging to more fun colours which were earlier restricted to only off whites and creams. The facial cleanser comes in a transparent bottle with a plastic stopper which I’ve now thrown away. The lime yellow face wash is gel based. Although the fragrance is nowhere near saffron or neem but it does smell nice.
This facial cleanser is supposed to be mild since its ayurvedic and claims to have no harsh ingredients BUT it broke me out! At first I thought it was because of it taking time in adjusting with my skin but every time I used it I could see a couple of zits on my cheeks and chin. I don’t understand why. My skin is sensitive but not allergic to Forest Essentials or ayurvedic ingredients.
But my cousin loves it. She has got dry skin and claims that it moisturizes her skin as well. On my oily skin it doesn’t do much, may be keep the oil at bay for 2hrs max.
Delicate much?
I am not much adventurous when it comes to my skin care and stick to my favourites. But I get bored so much that sometimes just to put up something new and fancy on blog, I buy and test new products. But I guess I’m going back to my HG Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion.

So is it for you? The Forest Essentials Kashmiri Saffron and Neem Delicate facial Cleanser is for you if you don’t care about strong fragrances in their skin care and need something mild and moisturising in their face wash. This would be a good choice for dry skin. Sensitive skin girls should however stay miles away.
