I was writing this post on Colors Screen Awards while watching the Zee Cine Awards…..irony! Anyway its time to talk about who wore what. I’ve done a lot of ‘research’ for this post…..made all the collages which btw took 2hrs and tried to include each and every girl worth talking about which btw means 23 bollywood ladies in a single post. I’m still not that versed in wordpress so took another hour to configure the image sizes. Anyhoo lets talk dirty now…..not really!
Deepika Padukone: wore a teal gown yet again like last year. You can check my last year’s post here. This was a lace Dolce & Gabbana gown. The other wise best dressed Padukone was a disappointment this time.
Priyanka Chopra: She wore a black Roberto Cavalli fish cut gown. The gown is tacky but the total package looks good. I’ve a word for this gown, it starts with “b” and ends on “a” but I don’t want to sound racist so I’m not going to say it out loud. I still feel an urge to delete all that I wrote above! I missed her dance sequence with Shah Rukh Khan so can’t comment on that.
Chitrangada Singh: was the best dressed at the Screen Awards in the off white Roberto Cavalli off shoulder gown with a short train. I love the neckline. Stunner! But then she always is.
Katrina Kaif in a Naeem Khan gown: YAWN. Why am I even writing about her.
Sunny Leone: in a white backless gown. Love her dewy makeup.
Alia Bhatt: She wore a gold one shoulder Gaurav Gupta funky number. Totally working.
Parineeti Chopra: wore a Sabyasachi gown? dress? okay blouse and skirt. The outfit has got such bohemian touch complete with shirt pockets and headband but I’m not sure why I’m still not digging it. But this girl is adventurous!
Sonakshi Sinha: Well well you are no Cleopatra. This Egyptian princess look failed miserably. I would list this as one of the wackiest dressed! Falguni and Shane Peacock? Really?
Mugdha Godse: I totally love the outfit. The all black lehenga choli with sheer sleeves complete with gold jhumkas. Although I would have preferred the dupatta in a contrasting colour but I still like it. I don’t care if its red carpet appropriate or not.
Sonali Bendre: wore a Shahab Durazi gown with a net bodice. I’m a fan of net bodice!
Genelia D’Souza: in a sequined Roberto Cavalli black gown. So much of Cavalli happening!
Vidya Balan: Gone case
Neha Dhupia: The Evil witch wore a Nupur Kanoi black gown with a floral blue shrug.
Gauri Khan with daughter Suhana: wore a RM by Roland Mouret Gali purple dress. I’ve never seen her before in a dress with shoulders!
Minissha Lamba: in a sheer black and gold Neeta Lulla outfit. What is this thing called btw? Whatever it is…..its working. Those bow pumps…..@#$%&@
Jacqueline Fernandez: So I assume this a traditional saree back in her native land Sri Lanka. I dunno but I like it. Whats happening to me!
Ameesha Patel in a Ramona Narang gown: Black dress with flash photography can be really really embarrassing.
The un-named girl: Whoever she is..she has a good taste in fashion.
Yami Gautam: She wore a snake-print Carmen Marc Valco teal halter gown. The dress is poorly fit but I like this girl. I think we saw her first in a reality show called Zee Cine Stars ki Khoj back in 2000. I’ve been following this punjabi kudi ever since.
Aditi Rao Hydari: in a white Gauri and Nainika gown. May be she just ran away from a wedding. Or from her prom.
Gul Panag: wore a gold off white Anita Dongre anarkali. My mom recently got a similar suit but her dupatta is a vivid green in a sheer fabric. Mom’s relatively inexpensive suit is much better than this Dongre!
Jiah Khan: wore a yellow orange Anita Dongre saree. Where has this girl disappeared? I think we saw her last in Gajhni?
Sagarika Ghatge and Vidya Malvade: The Chak de girls looking pretty. Like Vidya’s hair fringe!
PS- I know you must be thinking what’s up with the new blog design dude! More on it in the next post.
