Vogue Beauty Awards 2012: Who Wore What!

So it back! The best and worst dressed post that is. The Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 were held on 1st August at Taj Lands End, Mumbai to celebrate the best of the products in the makeup and beauty industry. I posted the winners list HERE, most of the awards were won by L’Oreal, Kerastase and Estee Lauder. But this post talks about nothing but the red carpet. Here we go!

 Shenaz Treasurywala: I chose to see this photo first from a pool of google images. It screamed attention! Shenaz is wearing Kataria Puri yellow floral maxi with halter back,  Anusha Lalwani clutch and kolhapuri wedges. I loved the outfit but what is she holding in her hand? Is it the train?!

 Deepika Padukone: So this” most beautiful woman 2012″ wore a Dolce and Gabbana black gown with shimmering golden skirt. Although I love the outfit and everything, its the makeup that looks dull. Since these are Beauty Awards, I can’t help but note that.

Dia Mirza at Vogue Beauty Awards 2012

 Dia Mirza: I did a double take here! She must have surprised everyone with her new polished hair fringe. Although Dia is always among the best dressed people, its very rare she tries something edgy…and when she does she makes heads turn!

 Still in two minds about the Roberto Cavalli ruffled black-brown gown Nargis Fakhri wore to the beauty awards. Sometimes I like it, other times I don’t like it. What’s your opinion? But no dress can match her Iifa awards saree look here

Diana Penty at Vogue Beauty awards 2012

 Diana Penty looked pretty in the black Gucci one shouldered gown.  She paired it with black Louboutin sandals which you can’t see in the pics! Its the hair do I’m staring at. Its the same one she had through out Cocktail. Now since I have long hair like hair, I would like to re-do it myself. Think I need my YouTube dose!

Dipannita Sharma at Vogue Beauty Awards 2012

 Red carpet dressing is all about trying new looks and surprising people. But sometimes these risks go very very wrong. Thats what happened with Dipannita Sharma! I don’t know what she was thinking while she was doing her hair but looks like she was trying to do a cat woman. And the shimmery gold grey outfit…failed miserably. You can do better Dipannita!

Kajol Vogue Beauty awards 2012

 Kajol did full justice to the ‘Timeless Beauty‘ award she got at the ceremony. She does look beautiful at this age when she is doing anti-ageing creme ads. I like the nude off shoulder Ayesha Depala gown she wore. Also the drop earrings and hair bun looked perfect. She infact looked way better than her younger sister Tanisha who looked nothing less than a disaster….not posting her photos..not in the mood! By the way Kajol is on the cover of August issue of Vogue.

 Sonali Bendre chose a Dior grey black gown for the even. I like the funky messy bun hair do and the nude lip. She dresses much better than most of the actresses her age.

 Mandira Bedi wore a black ASOS cage dress. I like the LBD and so do I like the bubblegum pink clutch.
