Faces Sparkle Dust Review, Swatches – Budget Loose Pigment

Its raining outside while I’m writing this post. So to make up for the gloomy weather I’ve something very bright, shimmery and crafty for you. This little pot of Faces Sparkle Dust reminds me of the craft glitter I used to work with for my school holiday projects! It makes me go back in my childhood and say “Ooooooh chamkeeeeliiii“. Chamkilis were so much fun! I had loads of Camel sparkle tubes and jars in different colours. Fast forward to now, I’ve the same sparkle dust for makeup! Read on for my thoughts about it and ways to use it.

Faces Claims: Over 30, highly concentrated shimmer powders. Made from 100% Mica, these high pigment loose powders are in demand! The versatility of the product allows them to be used alone or mixed with your favourite nail polish and lip gloss to create many of new shades! Sold individually or in stacks, use them to dress up you current eye look or to create shimmery, sultry eyes. Mix with any of faces eye primer to achieve a dramatic look th at will make heads turn.

I’ve the Faces Sparkle Dust in Shade 02. They don’t have names so let’s name my pet as “Gold

” (not the most creative name!). Gold is a shimmery, metallic gold with brown tones. You just dip your finger or brush and get packed with loads of colour (and shimmer!). So yes it is very pigmented and will show up on even the brownest of skin tones. Even though its packed with shimmer but not the chunky kind that just sit on top. It blends beautifully to give a nice sheen.
Even though it is loose its very easy to blend. It stays on my eyes for some 3-4hrs without primer. With a base it will definitely stay on for very long. The fall out is not much but I would still recommend using it before doing your face. Or if you do your eye makeup after the foundation routine then use a tape around the eyes.
And if you want to know if the glitter gets in the eyes or something then No it doesn’t. Its safe to use.

If you don’t know what loose pigments are then here is a little gyaan for you. Loose pigments are…well loose and can be used in numerous ways. You can take a little on your eye-makeup brush and blend them on the eyes or you can put them in your nail paints to give it a zing and vibe. You can put a little amount of it in your lipgloss if you love shimmery lips. You could also use them on your cheeks as blush/bronzer/highlighter depending on the shade. So yes these little jars are multi-purpose.

So is it for you? Yes if you know how to use it! It can be troublesome for a beginner but you can start from this and make your mistakes since this is very inexpensive considering the Mac loose pigments. Faces Sparkledust in 02 is a bright and fun gold with loads of shimmer. It stays on for 3-4hrs without primer and has minimal fall out. It has multi-purpose uses which I just mentioned above.
