How to spot fake Skin 79 BB Cream?
Nothing pisses you more than eagerly waiting for a package of Skin 79 BB cream in the mail only to find it isn’t that great as you thought it to be. But you have read rave reviews on the internet. So how come its just not working for you? And Bam! The reality strikes and you figure out that the “deal” you got on ebay was not really a deal and you have been cheated. So before I review the Skin 79 BB Cream, I thought I will give you a heads up and tell you a few pointers to spot the difference between the two.
Let’s start with the box first
The original box has got instructions in English.
Whereas the fake one has Chinese instructions printed on it.
There is a large circle on top of the box around “Super+ Beblesh Balm” on the real cover.
The fake one has a very small circle which is not noticeable.
There is a bar-code and manufacture date along with the expiry date on the real BB cream box .
The fake one has only the expiry date mentioned.
The original box has no spelling mistakes.
The fake box has “functions” printed as “fungtions”. The “UV Protecting” has no space and is written as “UVProtecting”.
The original box has this dotted line at the back where you can rip open the box.
The fake box has no such line.
The original box has instructions written in 4 languages inside the box – English, Japanses, Chinese and Korean.
The fake box has only Skin79 logo printed inside.
The original box has the bar-code only at the base and not at the back.
The fake box has the bar-code printed at the back.
Now you have got enough pointers but still we will go forward and now comes the bottle.
The original bottle is smaller in size and the nozzle on it is smaller too, may be around 3mm.
The fake bottle is larger in size and the nozzle length is around 5mm.
The original bottle has manufacturing date written at the base.
The fake bottle has it written at the back and not at the base.
The original bottle has Skin79 written at the bottom.
The fake bottle has it written slightly above the base.
The BB cream sticker on the original bottle reflects light and shines when you look at the bottle from different angles.
There is no such effect on the fake bottle.
The Skin 79 logo on the original bottle reflects light and shines when you look at the bottle from different angles.
There is no such effect on the fake bottle.
The base of the original bottle is pink.
And the fake bottle has got silver base.
There is an authenticity label on the original bottle.
And of course no such label on the fake bottle.
So now think twice before ordering a Skin 79 online. Only buy from authentic sellers. And steer clear of the sellers who are selling them at throw away prices. I will be coming up with a few more posts for gold label, orange label (yes they have an orange label too!), etc.
Have you ever been cheated? I once got a fake MAC (click to read the post) but then I didn’t even know what MAC was!

Hi!
Could you please tell me if the ” B.B ” can be removed if you scratch them hardly ?
Because I thought mine was real because of the rainbow effect on the “b.B” and “SKIN79” but I can rub them out ! :(((
Thank you !
@Loonie
i wanna know too, did you find out?
@Loonie
can someone please answer this???
@Loonie and anonymous i cant scratch mine but it has faded now..you can check the other pointers and find out..thr r plenty of differences
@Vanity
Hi Vanity, thanks for your answer :)
Sorry my english is not so good, so can you please tell me what you mean ??
do you mean you cant scratch it because it has already faded (by use) ??
A friend of mine apparently bought it from skin79.com, the 15gr presentation, and it has the authenticity sticker and the rainbow effect, but i just noticed the date on the box is different.. mine says:
EXP: 2013.04.05 (with no slash (/) )
And also that i can scratch the logo and B.B word off the bottle…
So i cant really compare that much with most reviews because, all of them are of the 40gr presentation (not the 15gr :@)…
Any comment would be good T.T
btw, you are very pretty :) Nice picture :P
This is a great post, I will definitely be referring to this is I buy this particular brand off BB cream. I’ve just started following your blog, hope you can stop by my blog too xx

Very nice entry! Just bought mine from a seller from ebay. Tried it out and thought the consistency of the cream was very thick, so I thought maybe it was a fake. This was a really helpful entry. Thanks!
Hi,
I just came across your blog— could you by any chance do one one skin79 A.C Clinic?
Oh wow, there are so many knockoffs I would never have known the difference, thanks for the lesson!!
bought the REAL skin79 on ebay from a Korean distributer. The price was great and shipping was about 10 days coming from Korea to USA.
does the real authentic label faintly have the shining words ‘VOID’? everything looks real on mine except for that and I can scratch off the ‘BB’ on the bottle if I try really hard on a small spot…
Thank you :) helpful.
Im so confused.. i just got mine in the mail from ebay.. was sure it was a fake but it has everything the real one does apart from the authenticity label on it… dunno if they are getting better at fakes or if its real
@Anonymous I have the same bb cream your friend has and my bb cream has the barcode on the side and the expiration date on the side as well. The letters also are fading and I can scratch it off easily. I pealed the authentic sticker off and underneath it, it said void. Im guessing its fake and I also bought it from skin79 website.
@Anonymous Mines says void too!
This post is a total lifesaver for everyone out there who don’t take the time to notice everything incl. me. Thanks for this post. :D
Where can you buy the real ones i’m so confused?
Thanks for this post! This is helpful. :)
I recently bought a skin79 hotpink label bb cream from ebay. I compared everything. Out looked like the authentic one, down to spout size and directions in English, authenticity sticker, etc. it was a fake. The lettering scraped off within a few months, which hadn’t happened with my bottle from sasa. It was from rubyruby76, which i had never heard anything negative about. The fakers are getting smarter, ladies! Watch out!
Hello. Rubyruby76 sells counterfeit. Or maybe I was just unlucky. She sold me a fake Nature Republic aloe vera gel. I don’t know why so many people are recommending her because when I left a feedback about the counterfeit product, she wrote me an email asking me to retract my feedback and offering to give me a full refund if I agreed. That means she KNEW that she was sending me a fake product, though I have no idea why. Perhaps it’s because my shipping address is based in Germany and there are no Nature Republic stores here? Unfortunately for her, I am Singaporean and right before I came back to Germany for winter semester, I actually bought a tub of the aloe vera gel from the NR store in Singapore. I paid 9euros including free shipping, so this item is by no means “cheap”. I wasn’t looking for a cheap deal when I purchased from her ebay store. I simply wanted to replenish my diminishing tub. I’m writing this email because I hope to raise cyber awareness about Rubyruby76. I thought she was a good choice because I did some research and almost all the bloggers recommend her or her store (RoseRoseShop). This must mean she sends counterfeits selectively. Probably only to countries without the brick-and-mortar stores.
Have you tried to push up on the pump dispenser? I did and with pressure it will pop out of casing. Everything else down to the last detail is spot on telling me its the real thing. One lady on google is saying it should not. Where she obtained her info she did not say. Please tell me your thoughts, and maybe test to see if happens to yours. Thanks!
I just got one today,matches all the criteria to be real except it is missing the authenticity logo…is this a legit product: (?
Anything manufactured in 2013 will no longer have the authenticity label. So check the manufacturing date stamped on bottom of box. I verified this with wizcoz so it is a fact. It is also normal that if you apply pressure to the dispenser pump a white tube will pop out of the pink casing. You can then open the vacuum pumped container and see the bb cream. Note the tiny little hole on the bottom of the pink case? This is to help it release. I love this bb cream. Hope this eases your mind.
I’m thinking of buying the Skin79 pink bb cream from yesstyle.com. Do you know if this site sells fake beauty products? My research so far tells me it’s a safe site that sells authentic products. But, their CEO is chinese and one of their main headquarters is in Hong Kong so I’m not sure I should trust this site.
Definitely consider that that you said. Your favourite justification appeared to be at the net the easiest factor to keep in mind of. I say to you, I definitely get irked whilst people consider issues that they just don’t realize about.
