The first thing that will attract you is the classic sky blue Liz Earle tube and a flip-top cap. The scrub itself is very thick transparent mustard gel with ex-foliating granules. It has a strong herbal scent of essential oils which is a great pick me up in the mornings. This isn’t floral or fruity, it has a spa-ish scent and would depend on people’s preferences. Also, it releases you of the smell after a rigorous workout in the gym. Although the fragrance doesn’t last that long after the shower but the skin is left really smooth, soft and revitalized. Unlike some other scrubs I’ve used, it works into a rich lather and is easy to spread onto wet skin. You need a very small amount, say less than a pea-sized amount, for your arm. The scrub granules are ground up olive stones (wow!) and are coarse enough to ex-foliate your body without being too harsh. Its a nice balance of scrub and wash since this scrub lathers like body washes. It keeps the ingrown hair at bay too. I know I know you must be wanting to know if this is nice enough for sensitive skin than yes it didn’t irritate my sensitive skin and didn’t make it red although the skin on my body is less sensitive compared to my face.
It looks expensive at first but if you do some mathematics and compare the number of washes with the price, than it doesn’t come off that expensive.
Recommendation– This is a very good scrub which smells herbal, ex-foliates properly due to its thick gel consistency and the fact that it has olive stones and even foams nicely. If you like to treat yourself with some good quality bath products, than I would suggest you to go for it. Although I feel £12 is a bit too much for a body scrub but given how little it is needed every time, it will go a long way.
